Astro PM includes astronomy-focused weather: cloud, seeing, and transparency outlooks per site, organized around imaging nights rather than calendar days, plus a satellite loop for the synoptic picture.
The Forecast Panels #
Weather appears in two places: the site weather panel (Equipment) and the Weather tab inside each project. Both show the same engine: hourly cloud cover, computed seeing and transparency estimates, temperature, humidity, and wind, in your choice of °C/°F and a 7- or 14-day span.
Nights, Not Days #
Forecasts are grouped noon-to-noon, because an imaging night straddles two dates. Each night card summarizes the dark hours that actually matter, so “tomorrow night” means what an astronomer means by it.
Satellite Player #
The satellite view is a GOES imagery frame player: recent frames with a scrubber, synchronized with the forecast chart, so you can watch cloud fields move toward (or past) your site and judge the forecast against reality.
