Astro PM is a Windows desktop application for planning, scheduling, and tracking astrophotography projects. This page covers what you need to run it and where to download it.
System Requirements #
- Operating system: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Internet connection: required for cloud sync, weather forecasts, satellite imagery, and license activation. Planning features work offline once your data is local.
- Microsoft WebView2 Runtime: used by Sky View and the weather panels. It is preinstalled on Windows 11 and most updated Windows 10 systems.
Astro PM runs happily on the same computer as NINA, or on a separate planning machine (for example, a desktop indoors while a NUC runs the observatory). The cloud sync keeps them connected either way.
Companion Components #
Astro PM is a system of three parts. Only the desktop app is required; the others connect to it:
- Astro PM desktop app – planning, scheduling, equipment, and project tracking (this install).
- Astro PM NINA plugin – executes your nightly schedule inside NINA 3.x. Installed from NINA’s own plugin manager. See the NINA Guide.
- Astro PM phone app – Android companion for monitoring your rigs. See the Phone Guide.

Two native builds are available: x64 for Intel/AMD PCs and ARM64 for Windows on ARM devices (Snapdragon Surface and Copilot+ PCs). Both are standard Windows installers (.exe). Your license key arrives by email after purchase, but you can install and explore in trial mode first.
